Websites At $0 Down And $150 Per Month
Our websites are offered on a monthly plan starting at $150/month ($0 down required), which includes design, development, hosting, and ongoing support—no large upfront cost required. Otherwise, we have lump sum pricing where you only pay for monthly hosting.
The subscription plan requires a minimum commitment of 6 months, after which it continues on a month-to-month basis. You can cancel at any time after the initial term. If you cancel, you don't keep the site (otherwise everyone would do that!).
You will sign a new 6 month contract.
If you cancel before the 6 months, you owe full cost of what the site would cost per lump sum pricing ($2,500) minus whatever you already paid. We priorotize long term relationshoips, and we want to share that philosphy with our clients.
Invoices come with a 7-day grace period for payment. After that, a $25 late fee will apply. For subscription plans, if multiple monthly invoices remain unpaid for several months, we may cancel the contract, and the client will be responsible for the full site cost. We aim to avoid this and are open to being flexible if there’s clear communication about the situation.
We send email invoices via Square that has a link to a secure page for adding payment info. Subscriptions are paid with a credit card or debit card (we accept all major credit cards). WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS.
This is a one time fee (not recurring). So if you need 2 extra pages, that's $200 and you're done. Not $200 extra a month.
When you sign a contract, either lump sum or subscreiption, if we cannot design something you are 100% happy with and no longer want to move forward, we will refund whatever you paid to get started. Once the site has been approved for development, there are no refunds after that point. From then on, refunds are at our discretion.
Yes, subscriptions are indefinite. You keep paying after the 6 month minimum. It generally takes us 2-3 years to make what we would have made if we sold a lump sum site. So ideally we'd like to have clients last at least 5 years to make getting paid over that period of time worth the wait and financially viable. And at that point, the website will be generating more than $150 a month in value for the client, so the site will essentially be paying for itself at that point and we hope our clients continue to see the value in the work we do to keep paying every month so we can continue to do what we do.
No, there is no buyout price to stop paying on the monthly package. As noted in another question, it takes 2-3 years including hosting fees to make what we would have made on a lump sum site. We have this rule because subscriptions really only work out financially if a client stays for 5+ years to be beneficial enough to wait that long for payment. It’s not feasible to be waiting 2 years or so for full payment on every site and then have to replace that monthly subscription. It’s much more beneficial to have just been paid in full up front from the start. We also rely on this monthly recurring income for consistent and reliable income so we don’t have to sell sell sell every month to pay the bills and we can spend more time working on our clients sites and spending time on their support calls and emails.
Yes! We offer $50 a month subscription add on for unlimited edits and support. These are done with a 6 month minimum commitment as well. There's no turning it on and off every other month. Once you end it, if you want to reinstate, it you’ll need to sign another 6 month commitment.
The main difference lies in long-term versus short-term costs. With a subscription, you'll pay smaller, manageable monthly amounts over time, making it more affordable upfront. In contrast, the lump sum option allows you to pay everything at once, saving more in the long run since you cover design and development costs upfront. Choosing the right package depends on your cash flow and financial goals. If you prefer lower upfront costs and value ongoing service, the monthly plan is your best option. If you’d rather pay once and save money over time without needing ongoing services, the lump sum makes more sense.
No we do not. Ecommerce is a lot more work to set up than a regular business site. Since it has such high costs, we cannot afford to set them up for $150 a month.
Yes! We never take hostages!
We generally finish a website from start to finish within 2-4 weeks and is largly dependent on how soon clients respond to our content and image requests. Sometimes it can be 2 weeks, sometimes 3.
No, otherwise everyone would do that! You do keep your domain and assets
Yes! Even if we buy the domain for you, when you cancel your subscription we stransfer the domain to you.
You send an email to info@baselooks.com and it will go into our ticking system where we can read and fulfill them and mark as solved.
